From An Angel

If I were only three, where would I be? I'd be in your arms or on your knee. I'd smother you with hugs,  I'd gather a whole bunch of bugs. I would be proud, I'd shout out loud: "Mommy, Daddy, I love you and you love me too." If I were three, I could be four,  when Daddy came home I'd run to the door. I'd jump in his arms, He'd share his charms. Mommy would be grand, she'd hold my hand She would love me so and I'd never have to go. Yet, I am 5 months old and I did what I was told God sent for me and three I'll never be. God's little angel am I, please don't cry. I am no longer in pain, I don't feel the rain Mommy,  Daddy, I am happy, I am with God you see. Watch me throw the stars for fun...  I swing on the moon, in front of everyone. Look Mommy, I can walk. Look Daddy, I can talk... Please let me go, God needs me so I'll always be with you, in spirit that's true.
