Canvas of Time No canvas or brush in hand--God began The palette His Word--His canvas Eternity From His Finger flowed colors of Love His Infinite Mind a portrait of beauty a prism of Light elusive as the wind Shimmering sunlight, azure sky flowing to crimson sunsets Towering Mountains, fragrant valleys, fathomless blue seas Evening shades of purple draped by velvet-black night Glittering diamond stars embellish the night sky surrounding a pearlescent moon, softly lighting shadows Seasons of life changing the face of the canvas Bright summer flowers fade as golden-bronze leaves fall Winter bleakness blanketed by lacy, white snowflakes Spring's breath melting snow into sparkling river's of life Tiny buds bursting--vibrant, new color--Summer is reborn Dipping His Finger in the dust of creation In a Heartbeat of Love, God formed man with eyes to see the mystery of the canvas--grace of form God's Infinite Imagination, unique moment to moment flowing continually--Canvas of Time |
