Homegrown Pearls

One day, as I was awakening, a voice, down inside of me said, "there is something you really should see! There's a pearl growing down in your oyster". And lo and behold, I knew it was true. That pearl started growing, and then there was you! You are the pearl, the pearl in my oyster. Dear child of mine, so soft, so divine as yet untouched, already loved so much! You are a pearl, the pearl of my oyster. Precious child of mine, as I try to define the dreams and visions growing stronger with time, I see me, and you, a great life coming true. Sweet child of mine, I long for the time when you will be here with me! You are the pearl, (the pearl!) in my oyster.

Additional Notes:
This was written in 1980, a love song for my firstborn. I know it's a bit off color, but I can't wait to hear your comments and suggestions!
