sunset

Bathed in your laughter, the whimsical song of youth Carried away in waves of adventures Missions to find all the truths about life                 Only photographs recall the tales of our strife The road forked, we both made our way Along the path of happiness and fortune The gorge grew bigger and deeper between us                 Who knew the price we'd pay for success Sanctifying every second that our paths met Images encased, preserving the library of my memories Never to be forgotten, cherished collection                My link to you, my only connection Spilled hues, pastel shades, remnants of the fallen sun Painful recreation of the our fading friendship  Grasping for one more second, just one more spark                Till finally I'm crying alone in the dark
