" Mama , why don't you love me? "

I thought I was your baby   Your sweet little child  But I'm just daddy's maybe And now I'm running wild Unabridged admiration and adoration Became lost in frustration and aggravation I fling my eyes to the heavens above For answers to the quest for my mama's love I sought answers in all the wrong places Went to seek information from deceiving faces Caught up in the wages of sin Tried to drown sorrows in whiskey and gin Where was my mama during all this time  Consumed by the passions of cocaine and wine Chasing the dream of another man's flame Believing the lie that my father's to blame I came to you with tears in my eyes But you would not here your son's woeful cries You turned instead and walked away Your need to escape would no let you stay I am tired and raw like an open wound The pain of lonliness has me consumed It's time for my life to make a change And for all my thoughts to be rearranged To come to grips with this waste of time To gather myself and my peace of mind To still love you though you dont love me And pray you open your eyes to see.

Additional Notes:
This is dedicated to all whose childhood innocence was lost through absue. BE it physical or brought on by the use of drugs and alcohol, the pain remains the same.
