Crossing the Beach to Sanctuary

Blinded by the waves of the sea, walking along the beach  our feet melt the ground Closely holding each other  in our fears we drown The pain of the Earth  flying through our heads now as the ocean settles  into the sea’s bed My brain trembles,  listening to it crash  in the moonlit night falling to our knees  we lose sight of all meaning  The purpose of existence  stripped from our souls Entranced by agony  our hearts penetrate the turf with what’s left of ourselves  surfing towards the moon,  ever vigilante as it is  Losing sight by the ocean  we cry for our sins Does this light shining brightly forever  forgive? Years from now  within us  will the shame still live, or inspire us to live a better life? No one knows  Still we lay blinded by the sea  in the dark moonlight

Additional Notes:
I wrote this poem in a dream, and when I woke up I could only remember the first line "Blinded by the waves of the sea" I only hope I do this piece justice
