Without You

It was in the eve of the night When I called out your name Yet through the silence that surrounded me You did not answer. I searched for you through the blanket of darkness With the misty tears upon my face I could not find you. Long were the hours I waited The distance was as far as I had searched Only to find myself kneeled down beside you On this moist and cold earth. As I looked upon the sky This ball of emotions filled within my heart My cry could have been heard for miles For the love I had just lost.
