All Mules ain't

Out in California we found a mule one day running on the desert, we thought he'd lost his way. We took that old mule home with us, and fixed him up alright, well he stood out there in the field, and hee'd and haw'd all night. The next day we went out to feed that old mule we found, and we saw him in the neighbors yard kicking things around. Why that ornery cuss had torn the fence, and was really going hard, chasing the farmers wife and kids around that old barnyard. Now the farmer he was getting mad  his frown was getting wide, he said, if you don't take that old mule back, I'm going to tan his hide. He's torn up everything of mine as far as I can see, and if you don't come and take him home, that mule ain't going to be. So we took the mule to where we'd found him, the very day before, and he hee'd and haw'd, and kicked up dirt, across that desert floor. That mule just hadn't been happy, that much we could see, Why all the time he'd been with us , he just wanted to be free. So if you chance to see an old mule, running wild with glee, just take a little good advice, and leave that old mule  be. Cause he'll tear up everything you've got, as far as you can see, and in the end he'll win again, you'll have to set him free. But you don't have to listen, or take this mans advice, you'll find that all mules aren't so dumb, for this ones very wise. He'll let you take him home alright, sure and he'll eat up all your grass, but he'll show you when he's free again, who's really been the ass.
