Forever Friends

The measure of a true friend  isn't time together or apart  But the feelings we hold close  the love we savor in our heart  A true friend will be there  for the good times and bad  Laugh when you are happy  shed tears when you're sad  They listen to your heartaches  share your triumphs and joys  Make you giddy and foolish  like little girls and boys  Friends can be your salvation  when life is cold and dark  Shine the light of love upon you  give your eyes that tiny spark  It matters not if you close or far  distance cannot break that vow  You were my true friend then   just as you are now
