The Homeless

They live on the streets  begging for food and pennies, from there dark and gloomy past to the gutters of sydney. These are Australian people you see kneeling every day, so weak and brittle  trying to survive from day to day. So used to uncomfortable cement for this they use for beds. They would accept any job that we could give to them, we dont need to argue for this wont solve a thing. because they are human beings just like you and me.

Additional Notes:
This poem was written by my daughter Amber, who is 12years old. I have her permission to put this poem here. Amber wrote about people who live on the streets in Sydney. We live in Australia and Sydney is one of our largest cities. I thank all that have read her poem, this will boost her confidence. Amber is just learning to write poetry, and says she would like to be like me some day. My daughter makes me so very proud. Thank you again. Trish.
