Now This Is A Trip

Go forth from here and hide you well! Hide yourself from God and hell Close your eyes but you'll still see Reflections of bitter agonies My hands have no strength, for the weight of my  head. I keep my heart out, on a plate in the cupboard, but on the shelf, just in case I live through this hell Now I'm sittin' down. I'm gonna toke a few and I'm gonna figure out what to do..... And slowly, as I begin my refrain I think that surely, the world is insane. Now I'm fogged out of sight from everything good. I've always done the best that I could. I don't know what  I should  do...because, Who the hell tells the truth? Now I'm searching the sky for a guiding star... I'll follow it always with the eyes of my heart I know that someday it'll fall from the sky and I'll be left to wonder why. Now Peoples faces as they stare I abuse them so they won't care.. I'm following my sacred star and nobody else can get me there. Now Ah! A single ray of fire blinds my eyes and I get higher I lift my head; I have no shame There's always someone else to blame. Now If I do it again will it be the same? Now Besides, I didn't do anything wrong I've been hiding here all day long. A bag a dope and a bottle of beer I got plenty of misery right here. Now.

Additional Notes:
"fogged out" is a term used in the seventies meaning 'higher than a kite' "toke" is another word for 'smoking pot' A re-write for drug abuse
