Ventriloquist

String me up, I'm a puppet on your stage, just here to make you laugh. If I fall and break a leg, please take a photograph. I know you mean well with your deeds, but still I'm bounced around. My wooden legs can't take the stress, I'll splinter to the ground. Paint my face a little more, I like my new disguise. I love the way you shaped my smile, though you scraped away my eyes. Atlast I've learned to play the part, although you speak through me. Perhaps someday I'll come alive, and then I can be free. I see you've got your tickets now, it's time to take the stage. If at some time you fall in love, just laugh and turn the page.

Additional Notes:
just me expressing my feeling of being played with like a toy, a puppet, quite vicariously.
