Grass

Just as my finger flows down a glass window, So does that finger feel my blade of grass. It lies so serenely in my life- Its back arched toward the sun, As its spine stretches beyond the body. I touch it and feel its smooth lineage, And smell the dirty shoes that have Trampled upon it, Too busy and asleep to notice Its beauty and grace. Deeper and deeper and deeper I go- I feel so many feelings Knowing not I'm moving Into growing beyond What I understand Myself to be. Open me softly Open me dear. For I give myself- Mind, body and soul- Unconditionally. My simple blade of grass, Where have you been all of my life? I've been here! I've been here! I've been here! You see- All of this time A new understanding Of what's possible Allows us to enlighten Our visions.
