Summer Dreams

What is a dream? A vapor of thoughts that surge within me, Or a vision of hopes that become reality? What is a dream? A heart full of wishes that I yearn the most for, Or what I imagine as I gaze upon a distant star? What is a dream? What my mind conjures up at night as I lay in bed asleep, Or is it love and laughter and pleasant thoughts so sweet? What is a dream? My wandering thoughts on a starry summers eve, Or what I wish could happen and want so much to believe? What is a dream? Is it something I feel inside, yet something I cannot touch, Does it consist of things I do not have but want so very much? You may ask what is a dream? Perhaps it is a vision planted deep within, That blossoms into reality the day another dream begins!
