Just Us

You were arrested of a crime on the word of another, And the charges against you would make any man shudder. You were taken to jail and they locked you away, And you sat in that cell awaiting court the next day. You were hurried from the courtroom before you could ask "WHY"? The Judge had set your bond so unreasonably high. You didn't have the money to pay such a high bail, So they smiled and told you "Then you'll stay here in jail." Two months slowly passed before you were arraigned, Then another two weeks, Lord what a pain. Before entering the courtroom you were offered a deal, Your lawyer said "Take it, it's such a great steal." You stood before the Judge and copped a guilty plea, And all you could think of is would you go free. You committed no crime, yet he gave you two years, As they took you to prison you dried your last tears. So now my friend you surely must know, There is no justice in justice, it's all just a show.
