Transformations

Just like the aging flower, Browned bronzen brittle by the sun; One day must release its seeds to the wind, carried end over end in the breeze, To gently touch down to the ground And be envelopped by the nurturing earth. And so will the oppressive sky laden heavy with moody grey clouds; Be torn asunder with thunder, Wrench free its kisses of moisture To quench the greedy thirst of the soil. And thus must also the leaves, Let go of the trees Loving embrace So long have they clung there so delicately. At last they become one with the soil, Allowing worms and creatures unseen To replenish Gaia's bounty once more. And even hardened rocks of the mountain, So resolutely they refuse to break; But no, they are bound to bow down to nature, To Wind and Sun and Rain And crumble to become earth again. And so it is we too who must, Allow ourselves first to be broken; To open our hearts wide to all, that may befall us. Shattered mirrors of fragmented dreams; Shards merely to pierce our souls in the path to life. But the slivers re-created can now form, A kaleidascope so brilliant in new clarity, It awakens a sleeping power, A seed lying dormant in all of us, A potential to walk through that now visible door; And be transformed by our growth To a New Dimension, A world formed with Love and Light. Thus he who was once broken Will endure....forever.

Additional Notes:
Gaia is the Greek goddess of the earth. Capitalization of Wind, Sun , Rain gives these elements more of a spiritual power. Ditto New Dimension...(paradise, spiritual bliss, nirvana), and Love and Light once again personification of God's essence. Grey is the English way of spelling US gray.
