Is This Real?

"Wait a minute, don't walk away, I'm so confused, can't you please stay?" I bolted upright in my bed, my breath was coming fast, frantically I fumble for a recall of the past. Just yesterday we played "our song", and nothing seemed askew, our eyes spoke words of love, of our promise to be true. But now I lay alone, it's early Sunday morn, an emptiness inside of me, confused, so scared, forlorn. I have to move, I need to breathe, can't stare here at these walls. But wait! What did I hear? There's movement down the hall. Out the bedroom door I go, heart is beating fast, frightened, but I have to see what's looming in the kitchen. I enter and amazed is me... He's in there making breakfast!!
