China Cabinet

With careful hands He crafted you To be a gift Special and new. He saw my love For things so fine A china cabinet Simple and divine. You graced my room In splendid style Shelved with lace You made me smile. In play and pretend Many hours were spent Tea in the country Invitations were sent. My dolls all dressed In their finest clothes Seated around me The atmosphere glows. Years have passed And the cabinet is gone But the gift of love From my dad lives on. Dad, I've loved you For the beauty you gave To this little girl Memories are saved.
