D-day

I wonder if we are all thinking the same thing How alike are we who are different? Our brains are not black or white In our minds we think the same things In our hearts we feel the same pains Hypocrites we are, all! Smile in passing Then thrust the dagger into my back We all laugh Except those who have forgotten how We all cry Even those who do it where no one sees On fire for a stranger When your faithful one awaits at home You are no better than the one whose bed is cold concrete Secrets will all be professed The day the light shines in our faces We will all be bare We will all have the same soul
