Love Eternal

Sometimes in the morning      when the sky is brushed with red,  The dawn sneaks in to find me       lying half asleep in bed.  And I feel you there beside me,      in the early morning light, And thank the God that made you       for the love we share tonight. As I hold the soft warm wonder      of your body next to mine,  I thank the God that made me          for the love that made you mine. And though all time is fleeting,      and all passions fade away,  Our love will live forever,       though our bones return to clay.
