Under the Magnifying Glass

A rose so lovely, petals covered in dew. Each layer wrapping 'round inviting you. With promise to open more with each day, shimmering in the sun, if only to stay. Each petal so soft and delicate to touch, yet petals drop away revealing not so much. For underneath its fair cover you'll see, well, theres nothing, how can that be? It exists for its beauty and that alone. Is there a point to this query you moan? Yes there is, and its comming right now. Theres a kind of beauty unfading somehow. Instead growing better with each passing day. In a heart that loves God, and there it'll stay.
