ARISTOCRATS OF THE SPIRIT

We held our heads high, We kept ourselves clean, Years of poverty flew by, Years of triumph we've seen. Triumph of soul over darkness, Triumph of mind over matter, Laughter and love through the starkness, Peace and courage to gather. Spreading joy midst the tears, Spreading cheer and compassion, Disregarding sorrow and fear, Living each day with a passion. We worked through the hunger, We worked through the trauma, Our wills became stronger Encompassed with drama. Drama living each day to the fullest -- Aristocrats of the spirit, you see, Reaching out to others with kindness, Being the best we can be.
