Soldier

Submerged between shadows of after thought melancholy features ignite by fire glow warming his hands from a chillish plot of a battle waged long ago..   moonlighting on the dark side the present attends his past draped by a forest, he hides from the enemy of a war, cast alone he sits by the fire hypnotic gaze into the flames memories that won't retire burns his soul; everchanged Seeming distant somehow the young soldier in his past wondering how the man that is now delivered so young,..such a task. Honor and glory, was he told carries your sword of righteousness turn your mind to stone cold transgress into the survivalist. The beast that was within came instinctively to defend his cause in the wind only on the beast, he could depend Alone now he sits by luck or by fate? he lives, he breathes while brothers lie in the grave.. And he sees more than he was told this soldier grown weary and old.
