When I am an old man When I am an old man I shall sit on a bench And watch the world go by With shopping carts And little children in tow When I am an old man I shall tell lies To the other old men on the bench And we shall all laugh and nod together Remembering our memories of so long ago When I am an old man I shall wear baggy pants a sweaty Stetson, and a shirt that does not match with cigarette burns and buttons missing When I am an old man, I shall dance forever My own dance, to my own tune And listen to the wind and the birds who don't tell lies to pass the time When I am an old man... |
