Mildew

Drop me off at this side street where you found me long ago; Don't stop to hear my heartbeat, it's pounding much too slow. I've failed to find a reason to carry on again, I've only found more treason in these places that I've been. I've tried to find some solice within these sheltered halls, All I've found are lost dreams scattered on the walls. With a picture of you framed right where it ought to be, In the room for foolish games where everyone can see. How foolish that I've been to think you were the one, Now I've watched the goodness end and I'm back where I've begun. Searching mad for happiness or searching just to be, Somewhat of alive, but life has not founf me. So onward now I'll march into the violent fire, I'm fed up with this world, it's time that I retire. No sense to carry on, I've nothing left to do, I've tried the best I can but still I can't break through. Perhaps this is the way my life was 'sposed to go, Perhaps there'll be a day my heart won't beat so slow. Until then I'll wander down these dirty sheltered halls, Searching for a dream scattered on the walls.

Additional Notes:
just an insight on desperation and the reality of starting over one's life after a loss.
