Between the Darkness and the Light

Between the darkness and the light, There lays a place called twilight. The light that flickers softly now Casting shadows upon my walls. Dancing muses play their games Tricking my mind with their silly plays, Amusing me in the silent dawn  Between the darkness and the light. Between the darkness and the light, There is a place  That keeps my memories safe, A place that I can call my own In my thoughts I'm all alone. Safe from anger. Safe from pain. Safe from sorrow. I'm all alone. Between the darkness and the light. Between the darkness and the light, The good Lord holds me tight, He holds my thoughts,  He holds my life, He keeps me safe throughout the night, Within my heart he always is Leading the way from the darkness to the light.
