Fear Within when i close my eyes, darkness surrounds me. it swallows me in a single breath. images FLASH of a horrific nightmare, of a time since past. when i close my eyes, my breath suddenly stops and my heart begins to race. my knees lock up and my body begins to sway. THIS nightmare, will it ever go away? when I close my eyes, there is no hope. only destruction and fear linger in the air. memories of the man who RAPED me and the heavy flow of salty tears. |

I wrote most of this poem in lower case letters to get across to the reader of how small and hopeless I feel.
