Our Boat Don't Float

Because  I lie in the bed I made But it isn't comfortable And you are here too And I made it for you To find  We're not sleeping Because  I'm sick of sick Tired of tired Can't be rewired And you are who you are Humans aren't cars Can't fix us Can't fake it Because It used to be fun We weren't on the run We weren't running And I loved your smile You loved mine for a while And now We're both frowning Because  I fell through your door And on to the floor You weren't laughing And I wondered at first Was it just about thirst? And who's counting? Who counts? Because I thought that you cared And together we dared To stop trying And it wasn't so hard And you weren't so cold We weren't too old To be lying Because  I wish you the best Wasn't up to the test Didn't study And you never wait up I can't pass you the cup It is over
