WHERE ARE YOU NOW HARRY CHAPIN?

I learned a long time ago,      a time some poets call yesteryear, From a little pill called blue micro dot      that time is meaningless, and stands still The past and the future ran together      into pixels I couldn't quite understand. But I do now - maybe because the years that have gone by      have gained me insight So when I was listening to Harry this morning      singing a haunting song, "That anyplace is a better place 'cause that's where I want to be",      the past rushed forward and smacked me between the ears Harry sang as if he were here;      he really was here and now But he is dead.      However, his music, his voice lives on Isn't that the 'here and now?'      I mean, I'm listening to him now I am listening to him here,      and the past in my mind does not exist I listened intently to his message,      and learned once again That here I am, and it's where I want to be      "cause there ain't no place to go but here" So long Harry, and thanks for the lesson [again].
