Starving

A live poet's work,   is never read. Like the starving artist,   worthless til he's dead. For me it's just a hobby,   putting rhyme to verse. Critics say, "If ya try to make a living   you're apt ta starving first." So like deVinci, Michelangelo,   Longfellow or Poe, If ever I'm to be a legend,   I guess I'll never know.

Additional Notes:
Sometimes the truth is not only so honest and cruel but also a good deal of humor can be found in that cruel truth!!! In the quote of my critics; 'ya' for the you & 'ta' for the to are intententionaly spelled as written.
