Give Me A Break! An Invitation To My Vacation

There are times when someone is needed to help relieve the strain I am an  every day care giver and I get caught up in all the pain. Sometimes, I get to scowling, and forget to be kind I am lost in yesterday and tomorrows. Blocking out today,  I find  respite in my mind. I have to separate myself from her sorrow. I know my patient’s dying and the agony of  her despair I find myself suffering and it isn’t really fair. But pain is her sister Twenty four hours a day tears are her mother to wash the sorrows away. There is no one else to help her if she needs to sip a drink no one to see to her dinner or to ask her, ‘what she thinks?’ There is a lot of dirty work and a lot of tenderness mostly it is patience that steals away my happiness. So, if you’d pay a visit it surely would be kind. You’d do us both a favor before I lose my mind! But come with a smile and a gentle hug she knows what you know and it’s already been said. So have a cup of tea and make yourself at home these little visits  will end soon. In the meantime rest assured I’ll stay beside her and pray for a cure.
