Superstition

             Why do you suppose that time & again when we plan weekend outings we're sure to get rain from Monday to Friday its clear without fail but by Friday evening skies start to turn pale. As Saturday morning starts to appear it comes sans the sun ...just as we all feared A spider was killed...our deep superstition assures THAT'S the reason for our wet contrition. How could you think that a spider's the cause for this torrent of rain.. its enough to give pause that bug's not the reason you say with great pain Its that mirror you broke that's caused back luck & rain. "That's silly", I cry.. "you're completely insane". "I've told you before & I'll tell you again". "Bad luck isn't caused by a mirror you've broken" "It's because of the ill of the dead that I've spoken". "Bah humbug...you know that that's not the matter" "The REAL cause was walking under that ladder" "Or stepping on cracks in a sidewalk that's new" "Breaks mother's back & then gives her the flu". But like Father Time this long list goes on superstition's been with us since man's early dawn You'd think modern man would know better than that but we don't... I can prove it with one big black cat.
