youth-innocence-wisdom

the idyllic innocence of my youth, lost to me forever can never reappear. i pine at a child in their mother’s arms and think you don’t know how lucky you are it’s trite to say that youth is lost to the young but so is the reality, so unappreciated by the young of their idyllic existence some day that child will grow and ponder the same thought as i and be aware of the innocence they lost  and the wisdom they gained
