Waiting

It sits there patiently waiting For hours, for days,  Waiting For her to open the cover And begin again Begin to fill its pages With herself Her thoughts Fill it with her spirit Give life to its pages Paint pictures from her imagination With colorful words - Careful strokes of her brush Painting the words While the world spins around her But not unnoticed She takes it all in The sounds The colors The pictures And fills the pages As if her book is all she has To share it all with The book is her palette Her thoughts -  All the colors of the rainbow And she paints the story  Of her life
