LAST STAND On wings of ageless winds Last mournful cry of frantic men Beneath shadows cold Tortured empty souls Eternal Why! Echo hollow cries as terror flies T'was to glory these were bound Now lie they lifeless But human dust feed they hungry ground Silent witnesses to Man's vanity Savage humanity Fallen Forgotten White stones upon rotting graves The piper played that judgement day a gambler's losing hand Custard's last stand |
