A Child's World

Darkness looms in unlit rooms. I fear the night, monsters fear light. I search with dread beneath my bed... If monsters appear I'll run from here and grab my new gun, then they will run, away from my room outside to their doom. For morning will come and they will be done. But then tomorrow night... They'll get me... they might.

Additional Notes:
My grandson at three-years of age told me about the monsters. He did so in a rapid voice as though he had to get it out before something could stop him.
