Big Family Photo Pop and Mom sat on the love seat, Kart and Jun perched on their laps, Rot and Den knock-kneed at their feet, Flor, the eldest daughter, stood at their center back, Mie and Zel postured in between, Jen and Jie posed on both ends, Dan, the eldest son, cuddled them by their shoulders, crouching at their back, betwixt them. The family of twelve took sundry shots; candid photos, snapshots and close-ups In their most jubilant grins, Blessed by God both in life and spirit. The familial smiles are put into canvas Be it in a half-tone, fresco or portrait, It is wonderful to peer at them in seventh heaven, Posed in harmony and love, The quintessence of a family. |

Ach, another poem that slays me. You people with great ideas and families, I envy you. I have borrowed you from time to time throughout my life, but never really felt that myself. It's a great poem from that perspective, as it make me think. It's a fairly plainly written tribute to the family, and sweet. Has a tone of detachment and lack of emotion, though, which is unusual for your work. Still, it's nicely done, and a nice tempo change from the vastness of the concepts, imagery and ideas of the previous few poems I have critiqued.
Thanks,
