The Stone When my life is over My final breath is drawn. Do no try to save me So that I might carry on. Do not shed tears of remorse As you stand by my bed. For if I had it to do again I'd live the life I've led. If needed, give my eyes to someone Who is yet to see. I hope they'll be so lucky To view as much beauty as me. My heart if it can bring new life To a poor awaiting soul. Let it beat inside ones heart Filled with as much love as I know. For when my life is over And my final words are said. Let the sparrow rest upon the stone Which stands above my head. |
