Serenade the Night

Beach chairs, umbrellas, gone for the day, sand castles built, but now washed away, seashore silent, disappearing light, as the moon wishes the sun goodnight. Lazing peacefully by the sea, soft, light breeze engulfing me, sun has set, the water glistens, waves are lapping as I listen. I see two lovers, hand in hand, strolling on the still warm sand, as stars shine brightly in the sky, they gaze into each other's eyes, but I sit solitary, my thoughts demand, time alone, this time at hand, to serenade with music heard, the hopes and dreams that I've captured. Just like the gulls and all God's creatures, I am one, at peace with nature. We're all free to sing along, listen closely, nature's song.
