A Day in the Life of a Special Child

A leathery globe in playful hands - tackled and kicked, bounced and picked,  it slithered past the excited heart, uncaring for those who part, while in the shadows,  playful eyes vicariously dart. Beating rhythm to the cries,  maneuvering many exhausted drives, panting child persistently strives, flying ball, shooting goal, tiny hands scrapping fall, while in the shadows,  puzzled tears profess a toll. A thousand rationales:  not listening to mummy, eating candy hurts the tummy – can this be the reason for others dancing to the call, scrapping, pushing, controlling roll, while in the shadows,  useless limbs give-up the ball?  In the alleyway, the little boy on the edge in a wheelchair, waiting his turn for a share, pondering at things done long, various reasons for the heartbreaking song,  while in the shadows, innocent child-sins wonder wrong.
