Prison

A blackness engulfs each gritty breath Of air. Bars pan my view like horizontal steps That descend into realms darker than imagination. Slits which open into a blank, shameful abyss Which, like a buzzing fly, taunt me with this Horrible vision which weds my mind in bitter consumation. A mirror on the wall echoes crimes. Slashes on the stone mirror time. Each day carves a concrete cut with a noxious rhyme Which fulfills phases of fantasy which tickle with creation. Amazing! The simplicity of life leaves no friends but hours. Your emptiness leaves no companion. A rat in the corner cowers.
