A Friend A friend is truly a gift this is plain Held by a bond which need none to explain Through sad times and glad times, near or apart A friend is forever held close to the heart. Christopher T. Moore February 11, 1988 |

A fairly simple, if I may say even hobbit-like, poem. Sounds like a happy drinking song in a way, with your arm draped around said friend's shoulder and stein in hand, belting it out.
I like the intent of the poem, it's sweet and endearing in nature.
THanks,
