"My Prayer"

Among the many prayers, dear Lord, that come Your way today, will be a little prayer of mine sent in a different way. Oh, You'll get lots of cares and woes, some "gimmees" and some whines; forgive me, Lord, for judging them - I've also prayed this kind. I know You long to hear sometimes a word of thanks and know Your people do acknowledge all the blessings You bestow. So today I bid my prayer to run up to Heaven in joyful praise, to climb up in Your lap, dear Lord, and smile into Your face.
