LESSONS ON DIFFERENTIATION

The two sat on either side of the table, the diner small and close about them. Eyes danced in a slow precise pattern, visible to all but them. Words of concern and care intermingled in an invisible caress. Dinner, an after thought, with the sweet dessert of inner peace served fresh. It was enough to be, and time was still for a few brief moments. Soft breath of two spirits reached out with gentleness to touch and comfort. Smiles, laughter, chiding, teasing, all played together as children on green grass. Faces turned to see as two meld together in a methodical flow of give and take. Time passed, as a thief in the night, stealing away precious moments. Too soon the two must part and a taut stretch of spiritual fabric is felt. But threads cling tenaciously together, keeping the fabric of love together no matter how     thinly stretched. A living entity that grows so mysteriously without a physical presence, and it is enough  to be.
