Please Understand

I'm sorry for all      that I've put you through, But despite whatever consequences      I could never lie to you. I truly needed some time      to sort out my heart; Confusion was all      that was clear on my part. Was I hiding from my heart,      or was I just being blind? Whatever the case,      there were many doubts in my mind. Though I know what I say now      may all be in vain- Please believe my words,      "I never meant to cause you pain!"
