White hair-Rocking chair

White hair-Rocking chair She rocks herself, pale sunlight streaming through the dark green leaves, a spider makes its web high in the eaves, the world moves on, while she is silent; She rocks herself She rocks herself, while others think, she’s old and they forget her Her mind is foggy now, but sometimes very clear, oh yes sir, time marches on, for her stands still; she rocks herself She rocks herself, and sees a young girl brave and full of promise, a woman, wife, a mother, yet to be, no obstacle too difficult to conquer, a friend, a confidante to see; she rocks herself She rocks herself, through many months and years of living, through good and bad times, and times in between. Her eyes now dimmed fill up with life-long memories ; of joys long past, not seen again; she rocks herself She rocks herself, and peers with awe into the future, but all is dark, she cannot see, She smiles at that old tired white-haired grandma, but that old tired grandma is me; I rock myself.
