Too Late

The day was of beauty      very peaceful and serene; The thoughts of those sleeping      contained deep within Who would have suspected      that you would pick such a day? A day so very beautiful      do you have to take us away? All appears well-      nothing seems to be wrong But when I turn to your face      its smile is now long! If only I'd had your guidance      to practice what I'd heard Then suddenly in my mind I remember...      "Follow MY word." A fear begins to surround me      and to rattle my soul My eyes fill with tears      as I realize that I've not fulfilled my role! If only I would have listened      and done the things given Then this would not be THE END      for the sun has not risen!! -The road to hell is paved with good intentions;  So don't wait, for LATER is too late!
