For You?

For You? Speak to me in rosary beads Mouth Our Fathers Tongue Hail Mary’s Can read your lips through the back of your head Predictable The concentration in those closed eyes Sharing your headache  Hoping for you Praying with you Clutching my own genuine silver God In all sincerity Bearing all faith Trying to wake him Hypothermia Body to body Nothing that separates the flesh of Our Lord Christ  From my skin All for you Keep bent knees in servitude for answered prayers All for you Put my sins on the scales of judgment  All for you Pleading for heaven’s doors to open Wet your palate For Elohim to come down and show you Show you what he’s shown me Make a believer out of you yet Let the Holy Spirit descend upon you like fire And I’ll sit back and watch you struggle to keep it Praying for you Hoping for you Light a candle for you For you You
