Cat

My friends, they all ask me What kind of woman Could do this to me. I say it's not the woman But a cat inside set free. A cat which had been Chained and bruised Beaten in many ways By lovers who abused her And used her in many ways. And when this cat could hurt no more She swore she'd avenge herself With a vengeance never known before A crusade that bore no guilt. And in her feline manner And in my careless way She became my lover And I became her prey. She tore me with her claws And her teeth bit through my skin She laughed as I laid screaming And my blood dripped from her chin. And there I slowly laid dying Ripped and bleeding in many parts The only piece of me unscathed Was my beating heart. Still, it carried my love for her A love meant for no other And though my blood still stained her fur She had found another.
