Unassisted The only sound is my unsteady breathing Eyes pierce through darkness lost in thought How could anything be so deceiving Then the fantasy life I once sought? There is no perfect love No true happiness exists Lost faith in the above No attempt to persist Callous to all not just you Pessimistic views alter existence Doubting everything you say or do Attempting to fight my way through resistance I must learn it on my own You can't tell me what to believe Give me time to think alone And all the answers I will receive |
Additional Notes:
I believe punctuation ends a poem before its really complete so none is used except for the question mark because its necessary that the reader really realises that that is a key point in this work. This poem speaks of questions that one must answer on their own, hence the title "Unassisted". Thanks for reading my work.
